Growing up on the Northern underground party circuit, Kris ‘KRS’ Johnstone’s eclectic musical style has made him one of Manchester’s most sought after subversive DJs.

Taking inspiration from eclectic influences such as House, Electro, Progressive, Trance & Techno KRS notoriety has seen him land residencies at infamous nights including Sundissential, Zoolu’s, The Howard, Sin:ergy and Out of the Blue, as well as a spell in Ibiza with The Howard.

Ever at the forefront of cutting-edge of cool, KRS has landed a new residency at Manchester’s newest clubbing experience – Sunday Social. The revolutionary monthly event sees KRS fusing electro-driven house with floor-filling favourites over a 2 hour set to Manchester’s classiest socialite audience.

KRS can also be heard every Thursday and Saturday nights on www.dancegaytionradio.com where he’ll be playing the very best in Progressive Tech House from 11pm to 12am.

KRS’s career as both DJ and producer goes from strength to strength with the development of a production partnership with Canadian Shaun Gregory. The dynamic duo’s debut single ‘Bella Coola’, was released through Toolbox House in March 09, the tracks’ funky tribal beats making it an instant hit across the UK’s northern clubbing scene.

Not content with simply making tracks, KRS and Shaun have also carved a reputation as one of the scene’s hotest new remixers with the pair’s killer remix of Hed Kandi DJ Jay Cox’s ‘Frustrated’ (May 09) earning rave reviews across funky and progressing audiences. The boys also remixed a cracking take on Darkroom’s ‘This is Darkroom’ which is avaialble through Kubik Records.
